I am having difficulty powering up my Dell Inspiron 5150. I have to press on the power switch, and if I am lucky my laptop starts powering up. Is therre a CMAS setting that I have to change to make my LAPtop to power up right away ?

Almost definitely a hardware problem. I have had experience with some older Dell models and one in particular (Latitude CPX) suffered from the same sort of thing. If I was lucky, replacing the internal power module would cure said problem but mostly a replacement system board was in order [V]
