I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear that there's no whine with mine, and from what I can tell the build quality is superb. There's no problem with the hinge covers and they got my LED screen right! I haven't done any benchmarks, but will test the audio on the HDMI output as soon as I get home.
If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them throughout the night.

Congrats ! Great to see these things trickle in
-
VERY NICE! pics pics pics!

Probably you can tell us more about the LED
whether it was as good as described by the Reviewers. Such as Thinner and brighter than normal LCD Screen
-
yay! glad to hear it mate!
-
puhleasee! Give us a review of the screen and battery (if you have a 6 cell).
Now that my order got cancelled for no reason at all and on TOP i hear these negative things about the computer Im starting to get really dissapointed. -
The LED screen is thinner than other laptops I've used (E1705 and 1501) and I noticed it right away. It is a very clear screen and it does appear brighter on full brightness than my E1705 did.
-
I haven't really been able to play around much with the battery, hopefully I'll have some more info on that later tonight.
-
You said that they got your LED screen right, is that because you were given a non 5583 SKU#?
I ask because I got a 5591 and am worried despite repeated claims by reps that this is for the LED. -
Mine is listed as 320-5583 for the SKU#. It's the LED with Camera.
Which color did you order and did you get it with the webcam? -
Yep, ordered through a rep for the LED display with VGA webcam.
My lid is black, same as yours no? -
Mine also have no whine, and the LED is much brighter than my 700M, however its hard getting used to a bigger screen with the same resolution at the moment
and a bigger keyboard hehe -
Yea Hunger, my lid is matte black aswell. :\
Also, some not so great news, I could get the HDMI to output audio....it sounds like you might have to run a splitter from one of the headphone jacks, then plugging it into the back of your TV as Left and Right audio plugs. -
my part no. is 5591 for the LED W/camera aswell, dont worry.

Pics!!
Please? -
1. Click Start , click Control Panel, and then click Sound.
2. Under Sound, click the Playback tab.
NOTE: The default playback device is indicated with a green check mark.
3. If the HDMI device is not the default device, select it, click the Set Default button, and then click OK.
CAUTION: When you have finished using your computer with the HDMI-panel TV, repeat steps 1 and 2, and then set the default playback device back to Speakers/Headphones. If you leave the default playback device set to HDMI, your computer's speakers and headphone jack will not function. -

Yea Kevin, I tried that. It didn't seem to change anything to my surprise. I urge others to work on the audio with HDMI though as I may be doing something wrong!
