    My new 1721 I received for x-mas.
    Been readin the forums for a couple days now.
    Uninstalled bloatware.
    Upgraded to 4g's of RAM yesterday.

    Did you consider just wiping the drive and then doing a clean install? That would be preferred to simply removing the extra programs. But it all depends on your comfort level.

    Yea, Ive read on this board people doing a clean install but dont really know what it entails. I've already gone thru and uninstalled a bunch of crap dell puts on it and used a list to cut down on my startup programs.

    The memory jump was a cheap upgrade ($26 total for both 2g sticks) and I was just seeing if ya'll had any other upgrade/tweaks I may not know about? The computer is just used for cruisin the net primarly.
