Well, it definitely isn't gonna be in 'new' condition. :p I would say it would be good for surfing and doing word documents. I could have sworn I saw a new laptop off of Best Buy or Circuit City for less than $600.

Well you're definitely in the "new" laptop era but you should be able to run everyday tasks except for extreme gaming.

not bad, but you could have got a much better laptop at a retailer for 100 more... enjoy your computer and good luck!

Yeah I think you paid way to much for that. Its only got a P3. You could have gotten a Pentium m or possibly even a low end core solo system for that much from a place like best buy. Good luck with it though.

Unfortunately, MrShawn, I have to agree with my fellow posters. While I do wish you all the best with your machine and hope you're happy with it, you really could have gotten a brand new, better-featured machine for not much more money. And directly from an established retail dealer with full warranty coverage, at that. That's just as far as getting the most for your money. But the most important thing is that the machine easily does everything that you need it to do and that you're satisfied with it.

Good joke. I was reading this post, and was like "This guy got taken to the cleaners. Get a bottom spec E1405 for like 100-150 more. Hell, get a P-M Latitude D510 from Dell Outlet for practically the same price. Congrats on dodging that bullet though.
