I'm guessing something wrong with the fan or a lot of dust has accumulated inside the laptop causing it to be this way.
Is there a step by step instruction in opening up the laptop to clean the insides?

I opened up a Studio 1555 last week to remove a stuck disc. To get real access to the fan you'll pretty much need to remove the palm rest to get access to the fan. At that point, it's only a few steps more to unseat the motherboard and repaste the CPU. Be sure to discharge yourself of static electricity.
