For some reason I have alot of static electricity than normal most people. Pisses me off when I open my car door.

Well I notice that the vostro also discharges my static. Particularly when I touch near the front blue led indicators.

Yes I understand the laptop casing is sort of alloy metal...
Just wondering if anyone has noticed it? Can be unhealthy for a laptop...

I heard that this tend to happen when its cold outside or something.

Anyways, I highly doubt it will do any damage to your notebook UNLESS you are opening up the back cover of the notebook and meddling with its insides (CPU, RAM, HDD) etc...

    Look at it this way.
If your upgrading anything, just touch the case first, no worries :)

it just shows that you have developed the ultimate bond between man and machine. It responds to your touch and caress you in return. Oh what i wouldnt do, just to get my vostro to talk to me like yours talks to you :(.

    <_< Creepy much?

Anyway, yeah, if you're ever working inside it, don't let this issue slip your mind, you'll be sorry. Otherwise you should be fine.

From the computer to the power adapter all current is DC, so it doesn't matter whether there is a ground from the adapter to the wall. He is getting shocked because somehow he builds up charge before touching the computer.

Here is a fun one for mxl:
Get a friend to open his/her mouth, and quickly touch one of his/her dental fillings. Be sure to remove your finger as fast as possible so you don't get bitten.
