The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.
It's a mystery; there kind of wouldn't be any mystery if it was released at the same time always.
OK, so I work in direct marketing, and this is the exact thing we try to avoid with promotional offers - people expecting them and waiting for them. No doubt Dell will be the same - so we can't guarantee anything about their promotional offers.
Also, you should wait a bit before bumping your posts, I believe the forum rules states 24 hours.
It seems to me, Fragilexx, that Dell is always promoting some kind of sale. I get eflyers all the time, there are sales on the website, e-coupons, etc. I think this is somewhat like what you try to avoid. I never know when a Dell "sale" is truly a sale and not merely therir usual price.
