    hi everybody..
    thanks for read this..
    i had bought the last novemember a laptop

    a DELL XPS m1710 Especial Edition Formula Red.
    and i need the SERIAL NUMBER of the laptop. cause i will buy an insurance for my computer, and the company is asking me for this number.

    could anyone help cause i cant find it.

    It should be written on the underside of the number, or on the box in which it came. It is not something that can be obtained from the specifications. It is also a unique number, and refers to your actual notebook. Note it down somewhere safe when you do find it, as it may be wanted by Dell if you want to make a claim on warranty grounds.

    actually i am prety sure that is there. but there is a lot of numbers.. some numbers about the electric adapter, about the wireless card, the bluetooth.. so..i dont know wich one is about the computer itself.

    i fonund a number.. in the sticker for the service number and that stuff.. its a thin white sticker.. with a bar code.. is it that?.

    Dell uses a service code which is a 5 to 9 alphanumeric code it will be on a barcode
    Also there is an express service code on your laptop which will be all numbers, Dell uses this when you call in to them
