So I finally did it, I went to Dell.

Got tired of paying the higher prices that Apple charges for their computers (for the same specs)

I got a 1520 and I have just one question.

I have heard a million things about the resolution of this system, but I think mine is a little odd. My computer came with Vista, however I "up"graded to XP Pro, and the resolution of the screen is fine, except!!

The dock of the system (or the tool bar on the bottom) is grainy, and everything else looks great.

Also when I am surfing the internet on IE it is grainy, but on firefox, it looks great.

Do i have a defective screen?? Should I return it?? Or should I keep it??

Please help, I got a killer deal on this $500 off the system, so I really dont wanna return it.

Please let me know what you experts think.

    Thanks in advance.

Defective screens look grainy no matter what application you use, and not limited to a part of the screen. If it looks ok in Firefox and above the task bar, your problem is something else. Post a screenshot (if it is visible in the screenshot then not a screen problem).

I am not sure how to post it, however when I took a screen shot, it looked bad on it too... So I am assuming that the screen is not bad and the driver has an issue??
