While checking that SP1 had not altered my power plan settings, I noticed that I have a nvidia hybrid SLI setting under my GPU settings (under advanced settings). It's possible that this option was always there, but I'm sure I never noticed it before. I also just upgraded my NVIDIA drivers (right before installing SP1) to 174.31.

I have the same 8400M GS that everyone else who has a discrete card in a 1330 has, and I thought this did not support hybrid SLI power savings. Am I wrong? Or am I wrong in that the option was always there and I just never noticed it? And if that's the case, does it have an impact?

    Thanks...

Oh...forgot to mention that the 174.31 driver increases my windows experience score for both graphics and gaming graphics by 0.1. Yeah...easy to see why I forgot that bombshell...

this is the 174.31 drivers, NOT SP1.

and the 1330 doesn't actually have Hybrid SLi at all. maybe it's something for other laptops (1530/1730) that use the same driver?? meh.

That's what I figured...I'm just worried about a conflict with the driver attempting to stick the 8400 in a non-existent powersave mode.

    Thanks for the info.

i presume it does go into some power-saving mode, but that definitely doesn't mean it'll switch all the graphics processing to the mobo GPU as err... there isn't one.
