I am here posting specs of dell studio 15. As most of you already own so i think you can give me a review of following configuration. i also have some problems which i would write after the specs. ok here it goes

    Chainlink Black with Black U-Trim

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-450M (2.4GHz, 2Core/4Threads, turbo boost up to 2.66Ghz, 3M cache)

    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)

    5.6 " Full HD(1080p)WLED (1920 x 1080)Display with TrueLife

    6GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (1 x 2GB + 1 x 4GB) (operates at 1066MHZ for Core i3/i5)

    500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive

Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities

    ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5470 - 1GB

    Integrated Stereo Sound with Subwoofer

    Dell 1520 Wireless-N Card

    Dell(TM) Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module

    9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

    Dell Backlit Keyboard with Touchpad

Bezel with 2.0 MP web cam

Now the point of creating the thread is that asking you people to first review the above configuration and tell the result through your reply so that i can know where my machine stands and further you replies can be used as refference so that anyone else who wants to buy can read it throug here.
and another problem is that they are not going to send me any dvd/cd or even window installation disk. so what do you advise me to do?
how to create backup of newly preinstalled window 7, either from window backup/ restore option or wheter from any other 3rd part backup utility and please tell me any other thing which you as a user had faced and you want me to know as a newbie.

i am really waiting for your replies

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-840QM (1.86GHz, 4Core/8Threads, turbo boost up to 3.2Ghz, 8M cache) ? I guess that would be high end .... after configuration

    My points will be ...

    1. 6 GB of RAM ! Will it give you more benefit for the $ you spent ?
    2. Instead of Dell wireless, you could have gone for Intel 6200 atleast
    3. and its not 5.6", its 15.6" screen :D
    4. For installable media, I think you can create one from the pre-installed s/w and blank DVD just after receiving the unit else ask Dell to ship one for you with extra $
    5. you could have upgrade the processor to i5-520/540

BTW, wt you have paid in INR, must be around approx 60K. Which is approx 15K costlier than USA price !!!
