    Hi Everyone

I have been reading the posts on a daily basis before and after I purchased my laptop. About 3 weeks ago I purchased a Dell Outlet Studio 14z. The system came with a Intel T6400 CPU, 320gb 5400 rpm Hard Drive, 900p Screen , Dell 1537 (?) b/g Network Card and Windows Vista.

I have since upgrade to a Hitachi 500gb 7200rpm Hard Drive , and the Backlight Keyboard(Love It!!) I have recieved Windows 7 upgrade from Dell, but have not installed it yet

I mainly purchased the Studio 14z to post processing of my digital photos in Adobe Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4 while I am out on assignment.

I have purchased the Dell 1515 Network Card (b/g/n) and a brand new Intel T9400 (2.53Ghz, 1066fsb, 6mb Cache) Retailed boxed CPU that is ready to be installed.

My concern is that I need to tear the laptop completely down in order to upgrade the CPU(2 to 4 Hours of Labor). My background is in Hardware Engineering and the CPU upgrade takes a good amount of time to complete. Can be done with careful planning.

I have not installed the Win 7 , New CPU , and Network Card as of yet.

My question, will I get enough performance gain and bang for the buck to go thru the amount of time required for the upgrade. Should I just stay with the existing setup and maybe just install Win 7.

Is thier any Gotcha's I need to be aware of if and when I choose to do the upgrade.

Thanks for your advice and feedback
