    i have an e1705... if i was say blind booting, what key combination should i press to boot from cd?

    It is either f4 or the Del key you press to enter the BIOS. Once in the bios you can go to boot order and change the boot order to boot from CD first.

    but i cant see anything, what do i press to change the settings?

    I think it's F12 on my Inspiron to get the boot menu, and F2 to enter BIOS setup. But it flashes on the screen which keys it is when I turn the machine on.
