Ok so I have a laptop with a "simcard slot" for some 3G mobile broadband stuff.

i got this from the outlet laptop so I am not sure if the hardware is in there to support it...

Its a Adamo 13 and i need help fast cause I will be leaving for a long trip and need to know if internet is gonna work.

Please help me find out to see whether I can use the 3G sim card thing on my laptop.

Also, basically if I have a 3g card that is used on like Iphone, I can just plug it in and upon configuration, the internet is gonna work on my LAPTOP?

    PLEASE help thanks

Why not check your order to see what hardware is in it? Or put in your SIM card and try it out.

Look in device manager and see if you have a broadband adapter. If not then you'll need some sort of mini PCIe adapter, assuming there is a slot for it, I know nothing about the Adamo. The adapter is specific to AT&T, T-mobile, Verizon etc. and will need to match your provider/SIM. All in all a big PIA and for international travel the costs are daylight robbery. I'd look at tethering a mobile (again check the data costs) or using local WIFI. I travel a lot and have never needed a broadband adapter. My Droid phone also allows free WIFI tethering for the rare occasion I might be in a location without WIFI.
