I am deciding between the below two laptops. If, however, you have any other machines that you'd highly recommend above these in the same price range, do let me know, but I have looked quite a bit and these seem like good deals (certified refurbished but will get an extended warranty so should be as good as new). If you do recommend other laptops, my needed specs are 15 or 17", 8gb+ ram, and Full HD resolution. I really appreciate any advice you can give me!

The primary use for the laptop will be playing poker (hence the Full HD) and using a poker database that can strain a HDD. With that said, I'm not sure a proper SSD is in my budget right now so the hybrid could be the best option I could have even though I have no clue if it would actually be helpful. The hard drive quality is also not a must for me and really just a bonus if it runs fast. Other than that, mostly just general use browsing, watching stuff, etc. Not a big gamer or anything like that. Part of the reason I was drawn to the XPS is I get the sense that the quality is higher specs aside but I really have no idea.
