    Hello all,

If you have either machine, what is the battery life for 6 cell battery?

    Thanks.

It tottaly depends on what you use it to do. Today i got 3 hours of solid WiFi internet on brightness level 4. With WiFi off, brightness at lev. 3 or less and not very demanding CPU usage with no USB devices etc you can get 4.5Hrs and upwards. Dell include software to optimize battery for what you are going to use it for I think - quickset.

The B130 I have gets about 2.5 hours of actual use when using a WiFi connection to do basic internet surfing on the I'm thinking is possibly only a 4 cell battery, it's which ever one is the 29WHr battery. The battery is about useful enough to serve as nothing more than a UPS battery back up device in case the power goes out while your working. Seems like the 29WHr battery gives you enough power to go check the house circuit breakers, peek out the front door to see if all the other nieghbors look like they lost power as well, then return to the laptop with just enough time remaining to save what ever you were working on and power it off.

I learned from that one, I'll always buy the largest battery possible for any laptops I buy now. I don't use battery power very often, but if the power goes out in my nieghborhood I can still at least use my laptop and even connect to the internet on it through my VX6700 PDA cell phone.
