Alright I am really worried that I screwed up. Because of problems with my laptop dell exchanged my system for a new one. The new one is great works fine. Now the problem that I have is I didn't use their shipping slip that they sent with me. Instead I (because I am idiot) bought my own shipping slip (to insure the delivery) using the information off of the the return shipping slip they gave me. Now am worried that I needed to use their packing slip. Does anyone know? Dell customer service has been useless. Help!

Did write dispatch number on the box ?

If you did and wrote correct address, I don't think it will be a problem.
Why did you not use DELL's shipping label? You should have DELL pay for the shipping. DELL uses FedEx Ground for exchange returns (they used to use DHL, but recently changed to FedEx) and it is trackable. Not any different from buying your own.

If you didn't they might be able to find out whos system it was using Service Tag, but I don't know what will happen.

And I'm sure customer service people don't know either.
Try contacting return department at [email protected] . Althogh I don't think they will reply...

I requested extension of return using that E-mail 3 days ago, but didn't hear back from them yet.

I also contacted customer service via E-mail few weeks ago to ask them something. Never heard back.

As far as I know, there is no way to check it unless you can contact return department or wait and see if you get a bill from DELL.
If you don't get a bill, then they received it and processed correctly.

Why did you use your own label? Dell pays for the shipping and the insurance to go with it... All you need to do is get the driver to sign or a slip from the FedEx Kinkos saying you dropped it off...

You actually paid money to ship it to them? That is crazier than the off chance they won't know what machine it is.... (They'll pull it up with the service tag).
