I know this isn't the "correct" place for this thread, but since I'm comparing, Studio, Studio XPS and XPS lines, I was not sure which to place it.
I own a Clevo D901C (Sager NP9262), and I'm looking for something more mobile, but still able to run things like Photoshop CS4, Adobe Lightroom, and HD videos without breaking a sweat. I'm also looking for a better than average battery life, since my D901C lasts, oh, 35 mins at most these days.
I've been trying to decide between the Studio 14z, Studio XPS 1340, and XPS 1530.
I know the M1530's GPU, the 8600m gt, has a supposed defect, and high failure rate. Anyone have any input for or against that?
It also seems like there is a major design flaw in the Studio XPS 1340. I'm referring to the fact that opening the screen blocks/redirects the hot air from the rear exhaust onto the screen and upper keyboard. I know they were said to have "fixed" that with a bios update, but obviously that just means they down clocked the hardware, which is BS is my opinion. Anyone feel otherwise?
I would have bought the Studio 14z yesterday with that 20% off coupon, but was reluctant to settle for the 720p screen. It seems like there is not a single 900p 14z out there that isn't configured new on the site. Did that screen option come out recently, or after the 720p screen?

They both came out at the same time.
Need a mobile Dell notebook. Studio 14z, XPS M1530, or Studio XPS 1340
