    Hello guy,
I have E1505 core 2 duo T5500 2Gb mem. Mostly use is working and browsing the web. It's impossible to use on your lap because 5 minutes after turn on the bottom of the notebook is so hot. I browsed the forum and see many member using "I8kfanGUI" I don't mind the fan noise at all even if it turn on all the time, but don't know how to config this I8kfanGUI program. Can someone please post your setting or some advise would be great. Thank you

I have the fan start running at 60C on slow and for it to shut off at 40C. Well it never gets below 45C. You can set it at whatever you prefer under the option tab. Feel free to experiment as long as you do not totally disable the fan. Try it on high for a while. I do not put the notebook on my lap anymore than I have to as the fan exhaust underneath instead of out the back as my old 8000 Inspiron does.
