Hi, I am thinking about buying an m1210, I have a high end new desktop system primarily used for gaming and I really like the design of the 1210.I will be moslty using it for stategy games like command and conquer and company of heroes but will also be playing wow and oblivion.I dont expect to get great performance out of it but I am curious what kind of resolution and frame rates can I get with these games. Also I plan on keeping vista installed, does anyone have any issues running these games like sound or graphics distortions? Thanks for the help.
Oh yea, I heard about the 1310 or whatever its called, but I really dislike wedge shaped designs from past experiience so I am really not interested in it.

Low-medium settings, no AA/AF, low res, maybe 800x600. That should dive playable frame rates. It depends on what you are expecting from the card. The Go7400 isn't a high end card, so if you have a 8800 in your desktop, most games would appear unplayable.

if i were you just like many others id just ditch vista when u get it. its still buggy since its still new and itll make your computer slower when you play games. stick to xp

On counter strike source, I get 115 frames per second on all high settings and AA off.
I know it sounds like bs, but if you need, I'll take a picture tonight. -
I went onto youtube and typed in xps M1210 and they have some videos of the laptop and some of the game you mention

WoW can be played at native resolution with everything maxed but AA/AF. Framerate stays above 20 (varies a lot depending on location). C&C3 can be played at native resolution with medium settings.

I have AA off and full settings with triple buffering on. I get about 50-60 fps with it dipping to the 30's every once in a while in WOW with 1.5 GB of ram and my 7400. The framerate was comfirmed by Titan UI and the Blizzard UI. It gets pretty warm though, I usually prop the back up a little so that more airspace is underneath the intake.
Need gaming advice for possible m1210 purchase.
