I have e1705 with 7900gs and windows vista home premium. I have s-video exit in the laptop. I also have s-video in my TV, but I don't know how to configure the laptop so it sends the signal to the TV, and also how do I set the resolution and all to feet the TV screen? since my laptop's resolution is 1900x1200 the TV obviously can't display anything near that. Thanks

First connect the laptop to tv using s-video and then press Fn+F8 key on your keyboard to transfer or clone the display to tv.
For fitting the screen use nvidia control panel and choose tv settings(or second monitor settings).

*You need to have Dell quickset installed.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Just a question regarding the nVidia control pannel, do I use it before I connect to the TV? And do I need to connect to the TV and then startup the computer, or it can be already turned on?
One more question, after initial connection, and then unplugging from the TV, my computer goes to 800x600 which is the lowest it can do, and stays that way, is there a way to make it go back to 1900x1200 automatically?

It doesn't matter when you connect just start the control panel after connecting the s-video out. It is normal that your screen goes to a lower resolution.
