I'm buying one from dell US, but it'll spend most of it's life in Ireland. I was just wondering if the power block was universal? Does it support both 110v and 220v?

If you could look at the power block and tell me that'd be great. Cheers.

every dell ive seen has one. and everything else for that matter. in the extremely unlikely event that it is 110v only, buying one of ebay.uk would still be cheaper than buying the system from the UK

Thanks. I just don't wanna end up having to buy a voltage converter. They suck up electricity and the bill would be insane.

I'm buyin' direct from dell.com though. Don't have the confidence to buy anything of such a high value from ebay.

I'm pretty sure he meant purchase the laptop from the US site, then the power block from ebay.uk

Looking at my adapter, I see the following:

    INPUT: 100-240V ~1.5A
    OUTPUT: DC 19.5V 4.62A

I see that on mine too, but the actual plug is the two flat blade type we use here in the U.S.

Won't you still need a European adapter?
