OK, I give up on Dell tech support after 2 hrs. on hold... I bought this thing with Vista and have no use for Vista. So I installed WinXP on it instead. No problem except that I have 3 items in my device manager that don't have drivers installed. Problem is they are just called "Base System Device". Since I don't know what they are I can't load the drivers for them. I've downloaded everything I can find on Dell's website to no avail.
I included the device manager listing as an attachment, so if someone could be kind enough to tell me what I'm missing by comparing it with their listing in their device manager. Then I might at least have a clue as to where to start looking.
Just a note: I have a USB hub to support my external keyboard, DVD and a couple of hard drives etc. so there are a lot of USB entries in the device manager listing
Thanks
