    Hey guys,

I have a dell inspiron n4030. I'm fed up with the on board 0.3mp webcam and wanna try modifying and installing a hd webcam in its place. Looked up the model number of the hd webcam of 14R(n4110) to be T3NPC. Before i order this module from dell though i'm convinced its possible is there anything extra I should order. Will the webcam cable be the same for both the old and new modules? And I'm not worried about warranty issues since i'm outta warranty on it anyway. :D

p.s. I really dont need suggestions that I could rather buy a usb hd webcam and be done with it. I just wanna give a shot modding this. Just wanna confirm if this is possible and if anyone has tried the same before I order the module.

    Thanks in advance :)

To me it looks like the cables are different. I'm not sure though.

Thanks for clarifying JohnByeBye. Yeah i think the cables seem different too. Will check if its possible 2 change the cable too and if thats compatible with the motherboard on my inspiron. Need to find the product code of the flex cable now.
