    Hey all,
I spilt water on my lappy awhile ago and sent in my laptop to the repair depot. They gave me a new keyboard and a new keyboard assembly. However, part of this new keyboard assembly isn't installed correctly:

How do I remove this myself so I can put that little notch back into place? On the right side of the keyboard, there's a little slot to put like a screwdriver in or something, and I tried doing it, but it only lets you bring up the right side of the upper assembly. (can't pull it up anymore at the power button).

Anyone have a link to repair it, or know how to and can explain?
    Thanks

you gotta take off the hinge covers, thats the part that has the screwdriver hole on the right side, when you get to the power button you gotta just wiggle it around gently and pull it up, it does work, under the hinge cover are 2 screws that hold the keyboard in place.

edit: looked at pics, nothing wrong with the keyboard, that peice of plastic is called the hinge cover. as i said before, just gently wiggle it and it will come up.

I'm having trouble getting the cover off the left hinge, can't get it to get off, should I insert a screwdriver somewhere to pry it off?

Nevermind, got it off, was being too gentle. thanks for your help!

make sure that you turn your screen 180degree open.... If you left your screen like 100degree or so , you can't remove the hinge from the right to left.

After you remove it , you can put the notch back to their slots , and press the plastic piece in front of the keyboard down from left to right. Don't worry about breaking it.. it's pretty flexible. But don't pull too hard.
