Core Duo @ 1.83 gHz
1 GB RAM
60 GB 5400 rpm HDD
ATI Raedon X1400, 256 MB
Base specs. I'm looking to add another gig of memory. Can someone tell me EXACTLY what sticks of memory I can purchase? Also, I was wondering - is there any possible reason why I couldn't remove whatever memory Dell included from the factory and fill the two banks with fresh memory of my choosing?
On a side note - do these specs seem good enough to run World of Warcraft? The game said my CPU speed was too low when I installed it. I attributed this to the fact that there are two cores, running @ 1.83. Won't be able to play for a few months when I get high speed again, so I've really been wondering.

Those specs are definitely enough to run WoW.

Your specs are more than enough for running WoW. Maybe it said that because your laptop was in power-save mode when you were installing it.
As for the memory, www.dealram.com will tell you what memory you need and give you price quotes too. That 1GB you have is most likely two 512's, so you'll have to replace both with two sticks of 1GB.
You should keep the memory you replaced (at least until the laptop's warranty expires) because Dell might ask you to put back in the original memory if you send the laptop in for repairs. -
Is there any particular brand you'd recommend?

Preferably something from New Egg. I was thinking of trying OCZ. I had Corsair XMS in my previous desktop system, and it was great. Recommendations welcome! -
WOW should run good on that machine -
There are several brands that will work. Many will save you quite a bit of money. Check newegg for reviews of other people who have e1505/i6400's. You can also go to Crucial's website and use their memroy configuration screen. Most likely you will have to buy 2x1Gb sticks to get to the 2Gb mark because unless you specifically specified 1x1Gb to Dell when you bought your laptop, you have 2x512Mb of ram and there are only 2 DDR2 slots on the e1505.
As for WoW, the previous poster already answered that question. 1 Gb is sufficient.
