I have two problems with my Dell 9400 1.83 system.

The first problem is that in the middle of work the 7 key would be activated and there will be rows and rows of 7's. I would press enter and they go away. I can't get the number 7 to come up when the key is pressed. I was told I need a keyboard, but I feel it is more a software than hardware.

My second problem is my hard was formatted trying to fix the problem and now it is blank. I re-loaded Windows office and some other stuff, but all the items and functionality which the system came with is lost, and there was no recovery CD. Is there any where where I can download the revocery programmes?

Thanks for any assistance... especially with the sticking 7

The keyboard is a hardware issue, you will need to replace it.

I think you mean recovery partition, but you don't need that since you already loaded Windows. If you are missing drivers the support.dell.com site will have all them for you.
