    Hi guys,
I just got my Dell M1730 with basic $2,999 configuration not long ago. I was trying to benchmark my video card using 3D Mard 2006 and the system info showed me that I'm having 246 MB of video memory...But am I supposed to have 256x2=512MB of video memory? Even if it only tested one of my card, shouldn't I have 256MB of video memory? I later on went to the Systemrequirementslab.com to test my video card. They gave me the same result: 246MB of video memory...

Anyone has any idea of what's going on?

    Many thanks,
    James

What score did you get in 3dMark? Did you remember to enable SLi in the nVidia tak? What drivers are you running?
I'm not sure but with the standard system you should be seeing around 7000 in 3dMark (sorry if this is totally off everybody)

The 3D Mark 06 generally gives me a score around 7800-7900.
    I did enabled the SLI.
I'm using the 163.75 driver (with modded *.inf) downloaded from Laptopvideo2go.com.

My concern is that both 3D Mark and Systemrequirementslab.com showed to me that I'm having 246MB of video memory... Shouldn't I have 256MB of video memory for each of the video card?

Then it's probably just the program not set up to show all 512mb. It's a good score for the base model, I wouldn't worry about the 246mb. Keep in mind that when you buy a system with fx. 2048 mb ram, the system might only see 2030 or 2052 mb. Its not always accurate.
Anyway, try to install the 169.04 driver from laptopvideo2go.com and see if you get a better score, but initially you should be happy with what you got.

i'm pretty sure that the 169.04 does not recognize sli, so you should be aware of that.
