I got a new hard drive for my vostro and have a corporate install dvd of windows 7. I am going to take the old hard drive out (windows xp) and set it aside.

I need to install windows 7 fresh on the laptop, but I am not sure how to set it up so that the mediadirect and diagnostic partitions still work correctly. I have looked for a guide but have been unsuccessful. Do I manually create these partitions?

Also, will windows 7 have drivers for my dell wireless card, broadcom ethernet jack, and other components?

    Thanks for the help.

    Which Dell do you have?

AFAIK there is a partition manager within the setup/installation process. You should be able to create the partitions you need there. and choose which partition to install windows on. and then also choose which partition to install MediaDirect on.
