    Hello everyone,

Could someone recommend a good replacement DVD writer for a XPS Gen 1?

I need a writer that would burn both DVD+/-R and dual-layer in both media types as well.

The original one that came with the laptop is a NEC ND-5100A. Should I be getting another NEC burner to ensure a good fit of the bezel/face plate?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
    :)

    NECs are good laptop drives.
