    Hi guys, I need some help for a Dell customization 9400 (in China).
    can you guys help me and give me some advises?
    I play games often (warcraft TFT, CS and in future maybe newer games), watch movies, internet and download a lot, short said for multi media!.

    I read a lot about these 2 difference and I know them now.
    but the problem is for me to choose only between:

    --> 80G (7200 RPM) or 120G (5400RPM) ?????

    shall I go for more SPACE or a FASTER disct???
    I have a hard time to choose~~

    thnx!
    Cheng

    I'll take the 80gig 7200rpm anyday, especially if your playing games (loading time improvements :)! ) Even though its not as big....its no big deal really, just manage what you have, and if you like me store things you dont use on an external HD

    I'd go for the faster 80GB and buy another hard drive for storage when you need it.

    personally, i would go with the 120 gig, especially since you are into a lot of multimedia.

    Buy the fastest drive you can live with space-wise for your main drive. That will be where you keep your games, windows install, and videos you want to work with.

    For everything else, like pictures, videos, and music- get an external drive.

    I'll agree with the most. I'd take 80gb 7200 RPM drive any day. 80gb is plenty of space for the notebook, while 120gb is still not enough for storage. So I would get 80gb 7200rpm drive for my notebook and then get a 300-350GB HD with USB enclosure.

    ni hao Cheng,

    I would definately go for the faster drive and then get something for external space.
