There's little for us to approve/dissaprove. I mean if the machine is affordable to you then there's little for us to say about it.

That is the exact same computer as I'm about to pull the trigger on, the only exception being I might get an extra 9 cell battery. I think it looks good, but then again, I'm in the exact same position.

i always buy 2 yr @home at the least. Seems like a good idea to sell on ebay with 6months still left on warranty :) they always go for more too

For me, EPP through my company made that same laptop with 3 year completecare warranty about $100 more (a worthwhile investment in my mind), as opposed to like $240 more for the home customer. I don't know if you can use www.dell.com/epp/thankyou, I saw it as a link on an ebay page for the 15% epp coupon.

Yes you can. You should call them.

Thanks man. One question: Does the 9 cell stick out and/or make it heavier?

I don't need a warranty like that because I can fix stuff myself and I only call them if something really bad happens, I needed them when my soundcard died, for example.

Have you tried checking a Dell kiosk? They might have extra coupons.

Yes, the 9 cell does stick out, and therefore obviously makes it a little heavier. However, considering it is only an extra $80 I think to add an extra 9 cell in addition to the 6 cell already in there (compared to $50 to substitute the 6 cell for a 9 cell), it seems worth it to me. A second battery isn't exactly a bad investment anyway.
