I just talked to a Dell Salesperson on the phone and he claims to have found me an "awesome deal" on a XPS M1210.

I'm a little wary about getting ripped off and I wanted to know what your guys opinion was on this computer:

Is this laptop Santa Rosa? Is the 12.1 screen too small for a college student needing to type alot of documents. I got the college discount on this stuff so I'm wondering what you guys think.

    its not Santa Rosa
I like mine because of its size not too small but not
heavy enough to break my arm or sholder when carrying ot all day.
As far as the screen size, my work computer is a 19 inch widescreen and i like the notebooks 12.1 better

I think this is an rip-off. You are spending $1800 on the last generation technology. The 1330 starts only at 1299 and maxed out at around $2000. With this price range, you can expect to get the newest machine available.

P.S. Dell is infamous for its swap-n-drop. Last time, i end up paying $200 when i order from Dell rep. Promised free warranty but i latter paid for it. Be really careful when buying from dell.

    No way...

I just paid $963 for practically the same laptop through the AAFES.com deal.

Add in my $200 gift card I got from Dell for issues with the M1210 and I paid $763 shipped to my door. Good deals are out there you need to look

Don't do it. Price way to high. There are much better deals available. Spend a little more time researching. As one post mentioned, try the Dell Outlet. Good Luck.
