Hello, My brother just got back from Iraq and wanted me to take a look at his laptop. After cleaning allot of sand out, it seems to be in descent working condition. I got it to clean state and reinstalled using the hidden partitions. The only problem I had was with the charging. I checked the ac adapter and seems to be ok with a bright green light. When I plug the ac adapter into the Dc jack socket and dont get any response. No green light coming from the console. I was wondering, if this is a common problem with Dells? How easy is it to replace the dc jack? Is there anything else I should also look at?

Dell Xps M140, Please let me know if you guys need more info. Thanks
