I own a Vostro 1400, and it's been impossible to install and/or get to work these programs:

-Roxio Easy Media Creator v.8 and 9

    -Nero 7 Ultra edition enhanced

Both have issues under Windows Vista even thought they are supposed to be compatible with the OS.

It's been 2 weeks since I got my Vostro and I haven't been able to burn data on dvd-rw discs like a floppy.
The only burning I was able to do on my new system is with Vista but when I put the burn't dvd-rw disc in my XP desktop PC it's impossible to write or erase data on it.
I'm also unable to write and erase data from a disc created on my XP desktop PC.

I'm I the only one having these problems?
Why is it so freaking complicated to use CD/DVD-RW disc like floppy's?
What should I do? Please help!

I'm having the same problems now with my D830. The Roxio DE came with my system, and now I can't seem to even install it! I'm waiting for a tech to get back to me on it, though. Nero will install, but it won't work. The only program that does work in the suite is the label creator. Woo-hoo. How exciting.
