Just want to share with you my experience of my Expresso Brown Inspiron 1420 experience. Ordered on 7/30, got it on 8/13. Called on 8/17 because of headphone jack noise, got a replacement on 8/23. both units have near perfect built quality. Battery is a bit more tight on the replacement unit, but still move tiny bit. I have AUO screen on both units, 1440 x 900. They are bright and clear (compare to SEC screen on my e1405, also a 1440x900, AUO seems to have better verticle viewing angle). I don't see any grainiess. So far, I am very pleased with Dell's serive and support.
