If I purchase a brand new e1505 and replace/upgrade the hard drive and memory right from the start, do I have to do anything to get the computer to recognize and utilize the new components (I have never replaced hard drive or memeory before)? Thanks.

You don't have to do anything besides reinstall the OS.

Great! I planned on wiping the drive anyway to rid the bloatware but I guess I wont have to do that with a new hard drive, duh
