I got a new Studio 1537 from the dell outlet this week. Everything is running great, fully updated and cleaned.

Today after using the laptop for a lil while I turned it off and plugged it in to charge. There is a high pitched noise coming from the laptop. As soon as I remove the power from the laptop it goes away.

Any ideas what this could be? Is this considered normal?

I had the same thing with my 1537. I sent it back after 3 days because it had bigger problems so I never found out why it did that. I think mine only did it when the computer was off.

Yes, it only does this when the laptop is turned off and on the charger. I'm just worried that this is an issue that could lead to bigger problems.

Anyone? I'd really like to know if I need to be worried or if I might need to send this back.

I have the exact problem. I have had my Laptop for 3 months and now I can not send it back. I want to know if it's a big problem. It happens not only when the laptop is off but also when it is on.
