    Hi all,

    I have just received my 9400 from Dell Outlet UK, I paid 1300 pounds inc tax and delivery for the following;

    2.16Ghz T2600 Dual Core
    2 Gb Ram
    100gb 7200rpm hitachi hard drive
    Geforce 7800 go 256mb
    1900x1200 WUXGA Ultrasharp display
    9 cell battery
    Built in Bluetooth
    Windows xp pro

I also got a Inspiron xps gen 2 backpack kit thrown in free work 70 pounds. I thought that was a nice gesture. I just asked what bags does she recommed and she said that one and ill add it to the order for no additional charge, maybe they have surplus stock.

I am very pleased with the purchase, I have got rid of all the bloatware and its smooth and very fast. I have tested in 3dmark03, sorry its what i had at the time and i got a score of 13,231 How does that compare?

I was pleased as my old machine was a 8200

    right for the questions.

    1. This is the only defect i have - I have noticed a stuck pixel (just one) it is however right in the top left corner of the screen couple of cm in from top and side. Its constantly blue in colour and only really shows on black or dark screen.

Is there any truth in fixing stuck pixels, i understand it is stuck and not dead otherwise it would be black. I tried one of the flashing programs with no success, any help would be appreciated. Im lucky its in the corner and doesnt bother me too much but if it can be fixed id like to sort it.

Am i alone with this or does any other 9400 owners have stuck or dead pixels on the monitor.

    2. Looking for a external tv option, i want digital good quality and pvr. thinking of the cinergy hybrid one, any ideas or other suggestions.

With that I am going to try out media portal, anybody used this? any good or should i consider a change to MCE?

Thanks any info would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

    1. you can try putting a piece of paper on the spot where the stuck pixel is, and scratch it lightly with your nail, often this will free it. It worked on my 26" HDTC LCD....

    2. Don't know!!!
