I lost my laptop charger. Whats the cheapest place to get a new one? Do places like best buy, office depot etc. sell dell laptop chargers? Or is it best to just buy one online?

Unless you know the specs of that charger, you should get whatever Dell lists as an accessory for your laptop. Although all chargers look very much alike, it's a possibility that you'll fry your unit with a wrong charger. It's not the most likely thing, but still, better safe than sorry. Find out the part number and try googling it. Also check out eBay, since people whose laptops die often auction off the parts.

You could try and buy a generic one like Kingston/Targus, but you should be able to find one at eBay for a better price and one that matches your laptop. Dell will have it for about 40 bucks (last time I checked at least) and I found mine on eBay for 15 bucks.

Whats the difference between a "power cord" and "AC adapter"??

There shouldn't be any difference between the two. The only thing i can think of is one might be the cord from the wall to your powerbrick. Then the other is the cord that runs from the laptop with the powerbrick attached.

If you go to the dell site they should have replacements, althought you will probably find ones around the net made by different companys for cheaper.
