    New Dell 1520, Clean Install?

    When my Dell 1520 arrives can i do a clean install of vista to get rid of all the junk that comes with the laptop? Here are some addition questions I have.

    1. How do you do a clean install? Does dell give the vista CD?
    2. My 1520 comes with Microsoft Office and Student 2007, if i do a clean install can I reinstall this Microsoft Office?
    3. Is there any risks by doing a clean install?

    Does your system come with MediaDirect???

    If it does, simply follow my guide below; it works for any Dell not just the M1330.

    Yes you can reinstall office with the disk provided.

    Look at the specs. If it doesnt, its even simpler....Just install the Vista disk and follow the instructions!!!

    Its a fun project.
