    Hi All,

I have just got a new dell 6000D yesterday and found that:-

The right hand side of the laptop gets heated (I think it is the position of hard disk not sure).

The fan also keeps running, there is some utility posted in this forum. Can anyone let me know if the utility for managing the FAN is good and also let me know how to set the configuration for the utility.

Can anyone let me know if they are facing the above problems, and also let me know if there was any solution to it.

    Regards

Thanks for the reply. I installed the fan control utility, but still the portion close to the hard disk is getting heated. Please let me know is this unusual. The fan software shows HD temperature as 44C when it is in the condition i mentioned above.

My system is a 6000D with 1GB ram, 64MB ATI x300. I saw the properties in my computer and it shows 1.6GHZ, 302MHZ, but actually i had taken a 533MHZ FSB, so can anyone tell me why it is showing 302MHZ.

    Regards
