About two months ago Dell launched a big recall of power adaptors because some of the old ones got too hot and caught on fire, anyway I just got my new one but I swear that its running hotter (I have it on my desk so it dosen't matter that much...) any other experiences with this??

I've had my laptop on for nearly ten hours straight while at work... the adapter gets painfully hot to touch but I've never had it catch fire.

me i hang it so its not touching anything so 100% of the adaptor is in air and gets not too hot. Not practical but it works.

my adaptor has that rubber thing that is like a cable tie when you wrap the cords in the adaptor. i use that rubber tie so im not risking any elicrical fire from wired short circuiting.
