Doesn't sound like a big change. On the other hand there must be something worthwhile for them to bother with it. Well, I suppose if you have any of the above problems it's worthwhille, but how many people are?

I may skip this one -

How do I flashed a bio? What are the chance of bricking a system? Can I reinstalled the OS after being bricked?

Just look up the A12 file @ the drivers section for your laptop and just run the executable, it does everything for you.

Expect a reboot and a slower load @ the Dell screen on the first time.

I did it 3 times and no problems.

    hm.
what does this part means :
Since when there are new types of Intel processors that need to be supported ? Isnt the Core 2 Duo the latest and _already_ supported CPU for the E1505 ?

    I am asking,because i am wondering should i update the BIOS :D
A friend of mine messed up pretty bad his laptop after trying to update the bios...

    Hi
I upgraded to A12 from A08 Last week with no problem through windows. It seems the laptop run cooler. But no other differences in my idea. To upgrade, deactivate everything in windows such as antivirus and... And flash the bios. The program reset the laptop and enters flashing stage with a white background color in POST. Then the fan starts to spin with its maximum speed. And following that you get a restart again. Check if the bios version is ok when you see Dell logo.
By the way I was not able to install vista with A08 but after flashing to A12 I installed Vista Ultimate RTM with no problem. Everything seems to be ok.
