No switchable graphics it appears. I do like that Alienware m11x.

This sucks. I had been eyeing a Studio 15/17 when my taxes come back. Now they have taken the i7 away from the 15, and that blows. They left the i7 in the 17 but no 1080p display. Still not blueray for either. So I can have a fast processor to encode my HD material or I can have an HD monitor to view it with but I can't have both. Why they would take the i7 away from the 15 is beyond me, they have already spent the money to R&D it why not keep selling it?

    Damn I'm irritated.

I really like the Studio 15 with the I5 ... IF ... it had BluRay. I would prefer Intel wireless N, and Windows 7 Professional ... perhaps in a month or two BluRay will be back ...

Didn't realize they gutted the Intel 5300 option as well. To top it off it is pretty much the same price as the i7, good grief.

The Studio 15 also has an ATI video card in it ... does that mean it can switch between the two?

it sounds like the Alienware might have Nvidia hybrid graphics, which is almost the same thing.

I'd be all over it if it was 13.3

Thank you! But why make it so hard to find? Why not just list the i7 with the i5's? Other than the fact the more powerful system is a $150 cheaper.
