Dell have just released a new Dell Mini 10!

This one's the Dell Mini 1018, and it's basically an updated version of the Dell Mini 1012, same chassis and everything.

It does have an updated CPU (N455, which supports DDR3 RAM) and the trackpad now has separate buttons which is good. Prefer the uniform colour scheme too.

    Update Mine came through today!

I like it a lot better than the 1012, at least the chasis coloring. I never did like that white or gray color used for the base. I wonder when or if it will make it to the Dell US site.

I can find both in Spanish website at a difference of about 40€ with the same specs...

    Is it really worth it?

    Changes I noticed:

Camera 0.3 MP instead of 1.3 MP (worse?)
    DDR3 memory instead of DDR2
    N455 instead of N450
    6cell battery <- 3cell

I did some research and it would cost me around 300€ (330€ with 2 years warranty) to get the new one... What do you think? I'm looking for a netbook right now

Oh Dell.....Why launch the 1018 with the N455 CPU, when the N550 is now available?

The point of this was just to refresh the previous Mini 1012, the N455 has DDR3 support, they've also changed the track pad and taken away a few ports. I think maybe they are going for budget/value with this.

Wouldn't mind seeing a completely new offering with something dual core though :)

Dumhamzzz, don't know if you have the m101z in your region but I just got one because I didn't care for the mini all that much. It is a 11.6 inch but much better quality.

Here is a link to a post I made regarding mine.
