If you look carefully here :

You can see that this AC adapter is suppose to be compatible with the Studio 1535 and Studio 1536 laptops ... Wonder if it is a new line of laptops ?
-
Interesting... New inspirons that were leaked?
-
It could be these http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/08/dell-inspiron-1435-1535-and-1735-leaked/
They look pretty good, good enough for me to consider not choosing a business system whenever I have to look for a new laptop (hopefully not anytime soon)
EDIT: they are already talking about this here, LOL http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=253389 -
Interesting find. The 1535 will make my choice harder this summer when I plan on a new laptop.
-
Studio series... very interesting. Maybe its focused on multimedia and will have a lot of options geared towards multimedia such as large hard drives, etc. But it comes with not that great of a graphics card. Just a guess. it is "Studio" series for a reason right?
-
i say give consumers a choice on options. graphics cards should be apart of any laptop larger than 13 inches. oh course there are people who dont need then, but for those who want them, the option is there. no matter what, if the options are there and the deisgn is eye catching, plus with dell's signature battery life, there sure to sell.
why skimp on the options just for the competition to get a hold on the sales? -
The option is there. You just need to go to the XPS or Vostro line to get a dedicated card.
-
what about people who dont want to get the XPS or Vostro?
also, who knows if the vostro is going to keep a dedicated card option up, especially if they go the same design route as the new inspirons? id like to see how people would like that as well. -
Then they won't be able to get a dedicated card, simple as that. Dell can't put the same hardware in every line of computer they have or there would be no reason to purchase the others. Apple does the same exact thing.

No. I actually was the first to make a guess that it wouldn't get a dedicated card based on the "Studio" series. It would make logical sense if the leaks weren't new Inspiron models, but a whole new series of its own for it to be called Studio, which might suggest that its dedicated to multimedia so it would have high processors and high storage capacities as its focus and not have any good dedicated graphics solutions, however have a very sleek and intuitive design to offset it.
Its just speculation. -
I sent this into engadget...and they posted it:

Congrats nizzy1115! thats quite an honor. I don't think Dell will call it the "Inspiron Studio lineup" according the Engadget. Dell has never used a two name series. Or even a sub-series for that matter.

-
Congrats on getting on Engadget. Hope these come out soon.
-
If Dell unchains one of them tomorrow, it would be totally cool.
-
Congrats. -
