New to the forums so looking for a little help.

Had an 8200 Inspiron that the monitor died on so I decided why fix it and get new. Saw the thread "reformat or delete instead" and was wondering what of the programs that came with it do I really need or what do they even do. The Inspiron was really easy as it didn't have the media direct or the backup sucking up 12gb to deal with. Any help appreciated or tutorial guides would be even better as I'm nowhere near as gifted or patient with these things.

*EDIT* I think what I want removed is the bloatware/crapware that came on this from Dell.

dude, that like totally depends on what you normally do with your notebook..
if you say you want to get rid of the crapware I'd do a format and install windows fresh (hope you have a cd).. and then for example if you are a standard user.. install office and such.. and so on..
but leave the first partition (as described in several tutorials here) in tact, it keeps the media direct stuff..

For me, i was scared to reinstalled. But after I read SG guide, and after the kind people here helped me out, I reinstalled and everything is working GREAT. I would reccomend resintalling just to get all that crapware out...but thats just me.
