Hello! I received my E1705 last week and I'm quite happy with it after XP MCE reinstallation. Due to budget constraints, my system has a basic configuration. I just found out that Dell has a new "Dare to Compare" (DTC) deal. I bought my laptop for $1039. The DTC deal offers an E1705 for $1099 which has the same configuration as my new laptop but with the following upgrades over my laptop:

    1. 80gb 5400 sata hd instead of my 60gb 5400 hd
    2. 8x cd/dvd burner instead of my cdrw/dvd-rom
    3. Radeon X1400 video card instead of my Intel Media Accelerator 950

Is it worth the hassle to return my laptop and place an order for the DTC deal for an additional $60? I'll have to pay return shipping charges but no restocking fee according to the support personnel I talked to. I'd appreciate any inputs. Thank you.

OR.... you may want to try to sell your laptop on cragslist...
U may actually turn up making a profit.. but that is a risk you will have to decide if you are ready to take.... :D
