New Info on Inspiron Delays

Just told this:

It is the Blue 1520 WITH Webcam that is the big delay.

Blue WITHOUT Webcam is not as delayed.

I was told that If I deleted the webcam from my order, or change color that I would get it sooner.

Who knows how accurate this is, but that is what I was told. On phone now trying to make changes.

 

if its just the blue with webcam then thats awesome... hopefully I wont get a delay tomorrow on my sis laptop.

 

Bah. New rep gives me completely different info. She says Blue is no longer delayed, and that it is tha T7300 Processor (9 day delay) and that they will likely ship before the 8/28 date.

What a joke of a system.

 

It's the lid. It seems pretty standard throughout that those with colors or features built in to them have delays.

 

were only the people with midnight blue delayed today? It seems like it that only the people getting the delay notice today were ones with the midnight blue.

 

Just to let you know, my PINK 1420 was delayed from July 30th to August 6. Ordered on July 12th. It is a 1420 though.

 

You mean your FIRST delay was from July 30th to August 6th

I ordered on 7/7. My FIRST delay was from July 25th to August 1st. My SECOND delay was from August 1st to August freaking 28th.

 

I understand that, seen both of your delays. I feel for you. Just trying to give out information about other delays like Ike asked for. I will probably get delayed again, then I have to decide to stay with it or cancel. Trying to figure out what else to buy.

Mine is delayed until 8/28th too. This sucks.

 

I think it's only the midnight blues that are getting delayed further.

 

It is the processor... I ordered July 7, blue lid, and the T7300, and I am still delayed. I was told I would have it by 08/08 at the latest. My ship date, as of this morning, was 08/03. I have been in the build stage forever.

Going now to see if my ship date changed today.

Well my sisters 1520 was supposed to ship tomorrow and I got done talking with a dell rep and he said that it wouldn't be ready to ship tomorrow and most likely it will be getting delayed tomorrow. So its a spring green laptop with a t7300 and a wsxga+ screen.
